General Booking Questions

What’s included in the itinerary package?

The itinerary includes your selected immersive experiences, plus curated points of interest, and it will span between 4 to 6 hours. You will also receive a packing list and a magazine, featuring stories on the people, places, and things you’ll likely encounter during your outing with Street Lark. Immersive Experience: The immersive experience is the “main event,” and you will sign up for this specific portion of the itinerary through our website. Street Lark’s immersive experiences offer the opportunity to interact and engage with some of Pittsburgh’s most interesting community members. Personalized Itinerary: The personalized itinerary with curated points of interest are (a) based on the survey you complete and (b) conveniently planned around your immersive experience. These recommendations may include options for food and activities. Unlike the immersive experience, the curated points of interest are not pre-booked or pre-paid. Your itinerary is self-guided; all activities on the itinerary are not mandatory. Street Lark Magazine: The magazine you’ll receive in advance of the outing is a bit of “teaser,” providing context around the people, places, and things you’re likely to encounter during your lark through Pittsburgh. These stories and articles will include insider tips. They’ll get you pumped for the outing and help you make the most of your venture! Packing List: A packing list will also be included, so you can be sure how to prepare for the outing. We’ll suggest what to wear and what to bring. For the curated points of interest, we’ll note any applicable price ranges (e.g. restaurants) or admission fees (e.g. museums) so that you can plan your budget accordingly.

What’s included in the price?

The price includes admission to the immersive experience, led by a local expert (e.g. artist, historian, chef). It also includes the itinerary package itself, which has curated points of interest, a packing list, and a magazine. See the above question, “What’s included in the itinerary package?” for more details. Unless otherwise stated in the itinerary package listing, the price does not include food, drink, or admission fees to recommended points of interest.

What’s the duration of the itinerary?

The itinerary includes your selected immersive experiences, plus curated points of interest, and it will span between 4 to 6 hours. Some of the points of interest are presented to you as options to choose between, although we ensure all recommendations are convenient and complementary to the immersive experience. If you choose to instead visit all the points of interest provided in your itinerary, you could extend the time spent beyond the 4 to 6 hour range.

Is transportation provided?

Transportation is not provided at this time. However, Street Lark may suggest general options for transportation methods. For example, we may note if two points of interest are a walkable distance from each other, if light rail is a convenient option, etc. It is important to note, you are responsible for arranging for all transportation related to your booking.

Can kids come, too?

We love planning outings for families, but certain age restrictions or recommendations may apply depending on the immersive experience. If an age restriction or recommendation exists, it will be noted in the immersive experience listing on the website. Otherwise, all ages are welcome, and we’ll keep your kiddos in mind as we select the points of interest for your itinerary! The price per person applies to all individuals ages 3 or older. For children under the age of 18 participating in our immersive experiences, we require parent or legal guardian supervision. See our Terms and Conditions for more details.

How far in advance should I sign up?

The earlier you book your curated itinerary package and complete our “Get to Know You Survey,” the better. This will give Street Lark more time to curate the perfect itinerary specifically for you. Also, there are limited number of spots for each immersive experience, so earlier booking improves the likelihood of you snagging a spot. The curated itinerary package is typically sent a week in advance of the outing, giving you time to learn more about the people, places and things featured in the itinerary, and giving you time to select between our recommended options. Depending on our team’s availability, we may or may not allow bookings within a week of the immersive experience. If you book an immersive experience within a week of the scheduled date, your curated itinerary package will be sent to you as soon as it’s complete.

We have a large group. Can we still participate?

If you have a large group and there aren't enough available tickets, please contact us at to book a private tour. We’ll do our best to accommodate your group size!

If an immersive experience is sold out, can I be put on a waitlist?

We do not have a formal waitlist at this time. However, we encourage you to contact us at if you’re interested in an immersive experience that is sold out. This will help us gauge the level of interest in a particular immersive experience, and we may notify you of future offerings.

Do I have to pay in advance?

Payment is due in full, through our website, at the time your purchase is confirmed.

What is your refund policy?

Please see the “Cancellation, Transfers, and Refunds” section of our Terms & Conditions Policy for more information.

When will I receive my itinerary package?

You will receive your itinerary package a week in advance of the outing, unless you sign up within 12 days of the outing. If you sign up within 12 days of the outing, you will receive the package as soon as it’s complete.

Are pets allowed?

We love animals, but unless otherwise noted in the listing on the website, pets are not allowed to participate in the immersive experiences. Service animals with proper documentation may be allowed.

What if it rains?

Each immersive experience has its own weather policy, and some may have weather contingency plans. Please refer to the specific listing for more detail.

What if I have questions during my outing?

How does the Get To Know You Survey work for group bookings?

The Get To Know You Survey will be emailed to the individual who purchases the package on behalf of the group. Only one survey should be submitted per group, so please work together before submitting.

When signing up as a group, who will receive the itinerary package?

You will have the opportunity to provide the email of everyone in your group. We will send the itinerary package to everyone in the group whose email is provided.

Can the other members of my group pay separately?

Unfortunately, our site does not offer separate payments for one order at this time.

Why do I need to provide the email addresses for the other adult participants in my group?

We require that all participants complete an activity Waiver prior to the day of the outing. We'll email each adult participant a Waiver for their completion. We require that a parent or guardian complete the Waiver for any child under the age of 18 participating in the outing.
